Bunting Pattern - Class 59 - Craft Competition 2024

You need at least two colours or patterns of material and a piece of strong card.

1) Make your template for triangular flags from the card. The template should be 21 cm across the top and 24.5cm at its longest point:

2) Draw around your cardboard template and cut out of your patterned material an even number of triangles.

3) Stitch triangles right sides together leaving top seam open.

4) Trim across bottom of the point carefully avoiding the stitches, this will make a sharper point.

5) Turn, right side out and press seams.

6) Cut bias bindings on the cross of a contrasting material i.e. corner to corner diagonally. Then fold and press the strips.

7) Sew triangles along the top edge into the folded bias tape with triangles approximately 2 inches/5cm apart.
